Email supportCommon questions
My local files don’t appear
Make sure the files are in On My iPhone › Phrida › Music (or a folder inside it) and use a supported format. Phrida looks for new files when you come back to the app.
Apple Music won’t connect
Open Settings › Apple Music in Phrida and tap Connect Apple Music. If you denied access before, allow it in the Settings app › Privacy & Security › Media & Apple Music.
My devices don’t sync
Check that both devices use the same Apple Account, that iCloud is on, and that Sync with iCloud is on in Phrida (Settings › Advanced). The line under the switch tells you if iCloud is full or unavailable. Reopen Phrida on the other device to fetch changes right away.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app to remove everything stored on the device. To remove synced data, open the Settings app › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage and delete Phrida’s data.
Do I need an Apple Music subscription?
No. Phrida plays your own files and synced music without one. A subscription is only needed to play songs from the Apple Music catalog.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 16 or later. Phrida also works with CarPlay.
How do I add my own audio files?
Open the Files app and copy your songs into On My iPhone › Phrida › Music. On iPad you can also drag files into Phrida. Phrida finds them automatically.
Which formats can Phrida play?
MP3, AAC and M4A, M4B audiobooks, ALAC, FLAC, WAV, AIFF and CAF.
Does Phrida change my Apple Music library?
No. Songs you add or love in Phrida are kept in Phrida, so you don’t need to turn on Sync Library in Apple Music.
Which languages does Phrida speak?
English, Italian, Spanish, French, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Hindi.
